Hi there,
This week's pick is the one I'd try first, because it's free and it works on the chore everybody puts off: forms.
Let your browser fill out the boring forms
On October 15, OpenAI announced a bigger upgrade to ChatGPT inside Google Chrome. It can now read your open tabs, pull information from them, download files, group messy tabs, and fill out forms for you. It's available on all plans, including free.
Forms aren't hard. They're dull, and dull is exactly what we put off. The expense report. The vendor intake form. The school registration packet. The warranty claim.
Two rules before you start. You hit submit, not the tool, and you read every field first. And skip it on anything like your bank's wire page. Do those yourself.
Try this today:
Install or update the ChatGPT extension for Chrome.
Open the form in one tab and what it needs (receipts, an old email, a PDF) in others.
In the sidebar, ask: "Use my open tabs to fill out this form. Don't submit it. Tell me which fields you weren't sure about."
Check every field, starting with the flagged ones.
Submit it yourself, and notice how long it took.
Also this week
Stop giving AI instructions. Give it a finish line. New tools from Meta, Notion, and Wabi are built for you to describe the result, not the steps. Here's how to ask.
The AI answer is the start, not the end. Google's help pages are turning into AI summaries. A two-question check for when to click through to the source.
Your inbox is already a to-do list. Gmail's new AI Inbox pulls deadlines out of your email. A 15-minute routine to get those promises onto a list you'll actually check.
Try it on before you buy it. ChatGPT now lets you virtually try on clothes and makeup. How to use it to cut down on returns, and what to check before you upload a photo.
